MyTown

MyTown Shops is a local shopping and delivery service, launched in 2021, providing home delivery from local independent shops in Woking and Richmond.

The Challenge


MyTown encourages people to shop locally by delivering products and produce from independent shops, artisans, farmer market stalls and other specialists. They collect from multiple locations and deliver in one drop to people’s door, on carbon neutral cargo bikes.

As a new initiative launched by the MyTown brand, a full set of creatives were required, including a new logo, colour pallete, brand guidelines and a social media creative pack of assets that could be used across advertising platforms.

As well as raising awareness of the MyTown Shops brand among consumers, the company also needed to acquire member sign ups from local businesses ahead of its launch and so required a targeted social media advertising campaign with a two-pronged approach.


Our Approach

We developed a logo which had a clean, contemporary icon that reflected the functionalities of the company as a delivery service and a local information provider. The location pin emblem was developed with motion stripes to represent the speed of delivery and information available at the user’s fingertips.

We then established an impactful and easily recognisable brand identity that was modern and bright with block colours and striking cut-out imagery of single items that popped from the creative a little like pop art.

For the social media campaigns, we created carousel posts that promoted (organically) the various businesses that were utilising MyTown Shops services, and then ran targeted advertising on facebook and Instagram to encourage customers to use the service and more businesses to get on board.

We also wrote and designed a member brochure pack to be given to those who signed up giving guidance on how to market their involvement with the initiative.

The Results

MyTown Shops was received well by businesses in Woking with independents such as Atif Superstore International Supermarket, Binary Botanical, Cellar Magneval, Eden Greens, Hot Pods Chilli products, Thurstons, Poppies & Peonies florist and many more signing within the initial launch phase.

The initiative has since been launched in Aldershot and Twickenham and will continue to expand to other towns across Surrey.
