User-generated Content 

Show your audience that you appreciate them by repurposing the images they share of your product or service over social media. This is a great one because you don’t even have to come up with the content but it’s not the lazy option – you need to pick the posts you repurpose carefully and make sure the user isn’t someone who could be detrimental to your brand. Do it right and you will not only strengthen the bond between your brand and customers but very subtly promote your business.

Create your own weekly hashtag

Get creative and come up with a hashtag that’s relevant to your business. If you’re a drinks business, it could be #ThirstyThursday, or a clothes company could use #FashionFriday. Have fun within your business coming up with ideas and then use the hashtag to share a picture or an offer with your followers / customers.

Live video

According to a report by Hubspot, 54% of consumers want to see more video content from a brand or business they support so it’s important to use it in your digital marketing strategy. You could host a tutorial on something to do with your business e.g. how to use a certain product or do a meet the team interview with a member of staff.

Share your story 

Consumers rank brand trust and corporate reputation as two of the top factors they consider when making a purchase, according to the 2019 Edelman Trust Barometer Special Report. One way of building trust with a consumer is to help them relate to you and your brand, so tell your story. Talk about how your business started and the journey so far with throwback pictures from the early days.

Polls

Everyone loves a gold debate so fuel heated discussion by using polls in your social media strategy. Ask for your audience’s opinions, whether that’s about what’s going on with your brand directly or polls on more general current affairs. Just don’t mention Brexit!
