Surrey County Council

Surrey County Council introduced the Workforce Wellbeing Programme, a free initiative designed to help Surrey-based businesses with ten or more employees improve mental health and wellbeing across their teams.

This innovative programme acknowledges daily challenges businesses face, from managing tight deadlines to tackling workplace stress. By providing tailored support, practical tools, and evidence-based strategies, the Workforce Wellbeing Programme empowers organisations to create healthier, more engaged workplaces without adding to their workload.

The Challenge

In 2022/23, work-related stress, depression, or anxiety led to the loss of 17.1 million working days, accounting for over half of all working days lost to work-related ill health, according to a report by the Health and Safety Executive.

Launched in December of 2024, Surrey County Council has partnered with local mental health charities and organisations to support organisations in their journey towards improving the mental health and wellbeing of their workforce. The key challenge was reaching businesses with ten plus employees in key neighbourhoods across the county, specifically including care homes and the construction & trade sectors, and getting businesses signed up to the programme.

The Approach

Utilising Meta (Facebook & Instagram) and LinkedIn, we targeted defined audiences with interests that align with Surrey County Council’s services.

Using eye-catching creative assets and thought-provoking copy, we crafted campaigns that appealed to the target audience and encouraged prospective clients to enquire about the programme.

Meta and LinkedIn were both used to re-target website visitors & create custom audiences.

Furthermore, our team of senior experts developed engaging and eye-catching content for the Surrey County Council’s social media channels to be published alongside other activities that supported their growth objectives as outlined in the overall campaign strategy.

The Results

The recently concluded campaign exceeded all expectations, surpassing its KPI of 50 leads right from the outset. This success was driven by highly targeted adverts featuring relatable creatives and copy that resonated deeply with the audience.

The campaign achieved outstanding results, achieving over 480,000 impressions and generating an impressive 270 leads, over five times the initial target.
