Due to open its doors towards the end of 2022, Hilton Woking is set to top off the impressive £740 million regeneration of Woking town centre.
Ahead of the opening of their new flagship hotel in Woking, Hilton Hotels needed to announce the new opening to a relevant audience.
A PR and marketing agency with good local knowledge and contacts was required to support the launch.
Focusing on one of the hotel’s strongest USPs – its height and accompanying views across Surrey and beyond – we devised a campaign that positioned the hotel as ‘A New High for Woking’, pitching a launch concept that centred on a celebration of all things local.
Our pre-launch strategy was also centred on the employment opportunities the hotel would bring to the town. In the wake of the pandemic and subsequent national hospitality staff crisis, this posed an additional challenge in itself.

Our work for Hilton involved securing positive PR about the amenities at the hotel to attract bookings for next year, support for the recruitment drive and creative advertising concepts for billboards and hoarding within Woking town centre.
Achieved coverage included a BBC Radio interview for Hilton’s UK VP to talk about the hospitality staff shortage and upcoming hotel launch, as well as local and trade PR to promote the recruitment drive.
The client was so impressed with our work that Hilton invited Air Social to also pitch for the PR & Marketing contract for the hotel’s three Food & Beverage outlets, which we won!
