Air Social sponsors Woking’s Best Bar None Awards

On Tuesday 15th January, Air Social had the pleasure of sponsoring Woking’s Best Bar None Awards at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel. The night paid tribute to Woking’s best bars, pubs and restaurants. 

Over the past year, Woking’s varied establishments have been assessed against a set of strict criteria, with those hitting the mark being awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze accreditation. Each Gold accredited venue was eligible for further consideration on awards night. From the best town centre pub to the most socially responsible venue, each award recognised the contributions that have been made to Woking’s leisure scene and the night-time economy.  

The evening kicked off to a glittering start with attendee’s served up a delicious three-course meal. The Mayor of Woking made her introductory comments and our managing director, Alex Vinall, announced the first award of the night.  

The winners for each award were: 

Best Bar Award – Cellar Magneval 

Best Town Centre Pub Award – The Sovereigns 

Best Dining Experience Award – Chennai Dosa Artisanz 

Best Local Pub Award – The Garibaldi 

Woking News & Mail People’s Choice Award – Chennai Dosa Artisanz 

Asahi UK Social Responsibility Award – The Garibaldi 

Overall Best Bar None Woking Award – Cellar Magneval 

Lord Smith of Hindhead CBE, Chairman of Best Bar None, had this to say about the evening: “By working collaboratively with local authorities and the police to promote responsible drinking and higher professional licensing standards, accredited pubs, bars and clubs in Woking are undoubtedly helping to make the area a safer and more desirable place to visit.”
